OneBookOneMarin.org
web site
One Book One Marin
I was approached by the Marin County Free Library to create the online presence for the One Book One Marin project. Given that the book was being presented in both English and Spanish, we chose to make the site bilingual, as well.
In searching for a Spanish language translator for the site, we were pleased to have a very qualified volunteer: author Isabel Allende herself!.
One Book One Marin is part of an international One Book movement which encourages an entire community to read the same book at the same time and participate in discussion groups. |

Velcro.com/consumer
web site
Velcro USA Inc.
Concurrent with the new print packaging initiative I headed up, I created a new Consumer Division section of the Velcro.com web site.
One necessary requirement of the site was that it maintain the existing navigation structure used for the rest of the company.
The color-coded package system I developed was continued on the site with color-coded sections highlighting the various features and benefits of Velcro's sub-brands.
Labeling on the new packaging directed consumers to the new site for more information and ideas..
Each section appeared as sheets of paper organized within manilla folders similar to those that someone might have at home, creating the basis for an extensive knowlege database. |

TheExpoBook.com
web site
Gordon Linden
Working with author and architect Gordon Liden and editor Judith Rubin, The Expo Book was first published in six installments in InPark magazine, a themed entertainment industry publication.
As the project's graphic designer, I created an online presence that coordinated with the magazine installments.

ExpoMuseum.com
web site
ExpoMuseum
Since first creating ExpoMuseum.com in 1998, it's been the central hub for all things related to world's fairs, past, present, and future. In May 2011, it received over 32,000 unique visitors.
Along with continually updated content, it is also now the home of a blog, a continually updated Twitter Feed, and with partner site, WorldsFairCommunity.org, a place for the world's fair community to come together for discussion.
As the owner and producer of the site, I get a great number of emails from readers who find the site and are gratified to find out that world's fairs still go on, albeit in other parts of the world.
